My Mom and Me at the Cathedral...

The Mass was short and to the point...We had a great time at La Placita and to my surprise I found out that Clara was Baptized right across the street at Nuestra Señora Reina de Los Angeles church. I never knew that...I thought maybe in Watts? I used my new camera but as you can see, not very well. I need a bit more practice or maybe my eyesight is going south?

It seems that time fly's by so quickly...I miss Clara more and more all the time...She really was my "ROCK"...When I talk to my Mom I also remember all the other relatives that have come and gone cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents. The 22nd has so much meaning now, we lost my Dad, Clara and our friend Gaby, Pepito passed on his birthday...Better get out and enjoy the days we have left...See you at La Placita...

Spent the afternoon with the "Old Folks"...It's so much fun seeing my Mom enjoy herself and there's nothing that bring her more happiness than to spend time with her sister, Margarita. Every now and then she calls her Mama, since she took care of her since she was a kid...The sunset was so spectacular, the clouds and all the colors.

What fun it is to be in California...Went down to Balboa Pier to take a few fotos (200+) and found this to be a great way to start the new year...Ride your bike on the boardwalk. Lots of great foto opps and I was stopped by a bunch of people asking me questions on how to shoot fotos. I think the big lens on the camera makes them think I know what I'm doing?

I was scanning this photo this week and I was recalling how much influence my grandparents had on me. It seemed like we were there all the time in Watts and then they moved across the street from us and it just got better. They were both such great role models.

Moon over Paradise...

It's the brightest moon of the year...It was great! I got to use my new camera, Nikon D700 and try a few different settings. I must have some of that Indian Aztec blood because this moon stuff really intrigues me, Viva Cuauhtemoc!
