Your Smile warms my Heart...

Aubrey loving life...

Aubrey was feeling pretty good this afternoon. My pictures didn't all come out as planned since we took them when the sun was on it's way East, or is it West?

All our dreams can come true,
if we have the courage to pursue them.

Cesar Chavez Day!!!

The Cesar Chavez Familia...Dolores Huerta

President Barack Obama signing the proclamation making March 31, Cesar Chavez Day, Cesar would have been 83 years old.

His motto..."Si se puede"

Dolores Huerta is the second woman from the left...

“Non-violence is not inaction.
It is not discussion.
It is not for the timid or weak...

Non-violence is hard work.
It is the willingness to sacrifice.
It is the patience to WIN.”

Niki came over to have Aubrey's birthday card completed so she can get them in the mail...Save the date...July 24th, Saturday...at her Grandma Linda and Rick's home in Corona.

When we finished we went out to the apparatus room and had Aubrey jump on the bumper and take a few pictures. She loved it when the engine left on a call and the lights were glowing and the siren blaring.

Strawberry Fields Forever...

Aubrey...Not feeling herself today...

Red chair in the flower patch...

11 months old today...

We went to the strawberry field and ended up taking photos in the flower patch.  That's how they get the bee's to come pollenate the strawberries.  Aubrey was a bit off and did not get her nap, so she was a bit cranky.

Chinese Lucky Kitty...

Menudo...Breakfast of Champions! Tia Margarita in back...

We celebrated my Uncle Johnnys' 73rd birthday at El Ranchito.  No party actually, we just shared time together.

I have so many memories of riding in Johnnys' cars...T-Birds, Impalas and that great Suburban that we used to deliver groceries in for Morales Market.

Today is also Aubreys' 11th month birthday...We'll be taking pictures at a strawberry field tomorrow...I can't believe it's almost a year.  She's crawling like crazy now.

I was fortunate to participate in a class with Rick Ferro...that's world-famous Rick Ferro.  I've seen him on You Tube, but since he lives in Florida I never thought I would be able to participate in one of his classes.

Rick and his wife, Deborah run a highly successful photography business and develop lots of photoshop stuff for use by us photographers. I actually took 600+ pictures, so these few are just a small preview.

Familia - Chagito Cendejas

Santiago Cendejas in his backyard...Penjamo

My sister Lupe discovered that she worked with a relative of ours at UPS.  She always mentioned pictures of our great-grandfather, Chagito.  He's my Abuelita's Dad.  From all the stories I hear, he was a very caring individual, he owned the blanket weaving business where my Dad worked, and he told my Papi Poldo to not worry about his girls, Amparo and Teresa when he left for El Norte.

The story I like best is that he was also a finance guy, he would make the blanket, sell it but on credit, then charge you when the crops were brought in. Everyone loved him...He never wrote anything down on paper, it was all verbal agreements...When he was on his death bed he told his family not to try to collect any debts, all debts were forgiven.

Tia Margarita's Visit...Crab Cooker Time!!!

Entryway of the world-famous eatery, Crab Cooker...

World-famous clam chowder, Tabasco, bread stix & a Coke...

My Mom, Olga, Tia Margarita and Johnny...

Tia Margarita reading La Opinion...

My Mom listening intently to the waitress...

We visit my Tia Margarita on Thursday's. She loves to get out and eat with her family.  We had my Mom, uncle Johnny, Oscar, Olga, Tia Margarita and myself.

I love to hear all the stories of the "old days"...I've heard them a million times...It seems that as our folks get older, they have a better memory of the past than the present.  All the waitresses come by to hug my Tia and that makes her feel so special.

See you later!
