We went for dinner to Felix's Cafe in the Circle, in Orange. The air was crisp and the night was bright because we had a FULL "BLUE" Moon.

What a wonderful way to end the year, Aubrey's first New Year Celebration.

Blue Moon???

A blue moon is simply the second full moon in a month. It doesn’t have anything to do with the color blue at all.

We all gathered at Lupe's home in West Covina. Had some good mexican food, Bolitas de Carne, Arroz, fresh tamales from my Tia Margarita's Tamale Day, Arroz con Leche, Mom's flan and all the tequila that you could drink!!!

We all had a great time and Aubrey celebrated her first Christmas. She also got her ears pierced the day before...

Aubrey finally had her ears pierced...Yesterday...It's a tradition that little girls get their ears pierced when they're babies...My Mom thinks it should be done in the first week...She loved piercing everyone's ear's, when she could see better and hold her hands without shaking.

Aubrey is such a trooper, she was loving all the attention.

She cried a bit when her ears were pierced but she jumped right into the fun when she saw 2 small girls smiling at her and sharing in her pain.

We went to Aubrey's last day at her music class. I took a bunch of photos...this was before class started. I was talking to her in Spanish and she gets a kick out of that.

We had lunch at the Ranch. Menudo and a carnitas tostada for me and chorizo for my Mom. We love that Johnny and Margie and any other wandering family comes by and visits. I took this in front of the artwork that graces the exterior of the establishment. We went home and finally took my Mom's Christmas card pictures...You know mexican style, Mañana...

We took these photos a couple of weeks ago for the Christmas cards.

Everyone was dressed up and making a fuss over Aubrey. I think she likes the camera, she definitely enjoys all the new clothes.

Aubrey's visit to the Fire Station

Niki brought Aubrey over to the fire station for her first visit and her 5-month birthday!

We had a good time with all the lights and the room pitch black. The hat kind of looks like a recycled halloween costume.

Had lunch at El Ranchito in HP on Sunday.

Took the photo in front of the hand-made fresh tortillas grill...just don't eat too many or you'll be full til midnite.
